A script word becomes even more significant in the era of computers and telephones. A human character is seen through a handwritten text which conveys true human emotions. Writing utensils are one of the topics covered by the International Exhibition of Calligraphy.

The collection of the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy acquired a new unique exhibit. A mantra carved into yellow sandstone and covered with metal leaf was brought from Stuttgart to Moscow last week.

Last week, the opening ceremony of the rehabilitation center “Visiting Dunno”, initiated by the Russian Children's Hospital, the Russia's only medical institution for children suffering from serious diseases.

The “Holy script in calligraphy” contest has ended its first round. The final will take place on October 15th, 2009 within the framework of the II International exhibition of calligraphy.

The priceless art pieces hand-woven in keeping with the best traditions of Arabic calligraphy will be demonstrated at the up-coming II International exhibition of calligraphy.

We expect a famous calligrapher – the calligrapher of the Pope Benedictus XVI Barbara Calzolari. Barbara is coming at the behest of Alexey Shaburov, Director of the Contemporary museum of calligraphy.

Visitors will see the best world calligraphers at work at the II International exhibition of calligraphy.

On May 12 IEC “Crocus Expo” (Moscow) welcomed opening of the 17th international furniture exhibition Euroexpofurniture and 8th exhibition for component parts, accessories and materials for furniture production Interkomplekt.
