The visitors will see the fantastic variety of furniture of all styles and trends. However, the exhibition is rationally structured. Hall 12 of pavilion 3 is occupied by kitchen furniture, built-in appliances, chairs and tables and bathroom furniture. Hall 13 will welcome the exhibition of office and cabinet furniture, and furniture and decorative upholstery fabric. In hall 14, the Interior Salon, the visitors will find cushioned furniture and mattresses, and in hall 15 there are bedrooms, children and teenage furniture.

Accessories are important functional and aesthetic furniture components determining its design. Wide variety of consumables, accessories and components for designer’s collections will be showcased in pavilion 2. Interkomplekt/Interzum will welcome the visitors in halls 7 and 8.

How can one make business more efficient, improve competitiveness and increase sales? The answers to the questions will be given at the Design as the competitive edge and means of furniture promotion conference which will be held on May14. The foremost designers and decorators invited by Idei Vashego Doma magazine will speak about the basic principles of the shopping space organization. The specialists of Ferrari and MDM-Komplekt will present the collection of modern accessories which can bring the most challenging designer’s ideas to life.

Advanced materials and new schemes for interaction between the manufacturers and distributors, tendencies for the Russian market development and prospects of the Russian furniture at the world market – all these issues will be covered at the round tables, seminars and presentations held in the framework of the exhibition. Professional Recommendations

Everyday designers and architects will give the consultations on construction and decoration of apartments and country houses. This year among the consultants are: Idei Vashego Doma, magazine (hall 14, booth D1265); Designers’ Union International Association (hall 14, booth D1073); Sovremenniy Dom, magazine (hall 13, booth E1061).

For the first time at the Euroexpofurniture exhibition the members of the Designers’ Union International Association will give master classes (hall 14, booth B1133.1). The visitors and exhibitors will learn to make decorative interior elements, lamps, panels, collages and floristic compositions. Unique hand-made art items will make a house cozier and add charm to a shop’s interior.

Euroexpofurniture is always a fest.

On May 14 the visitors will be able to see the presentation of the International Calligraphic Exhibition. Aleksey Shaburov, the projects initiator and Director General of MVK International Exhibition Company, believes its aim is to promote the ancient art of calligraphy in the modern society. The works of the masters of calligraphy filled with profound philosophical meaning will improve a house interior and stimulates the creativity of its owners.

Hall 12 will host the non-stop culinary shows. The prominent chiefs will cook delicious dishes in front of the eyes of the audience and also demonstrate the advanced kitchen furniture at work.

Welcoming the World Furniture Congress

According to the decision of the World Furniture Confederation Russia will host the World Furniture Congress in 2009. The details of this grand event will be announced at the presentation on May 15. The event supported by the Association of Furniture and Woodworking Enterprises of Russia is sure to attract mass media and authorities. It is a good chance to discuss the potential of the Russian furniture industry and the existing problems.

Before entering the world market it is necessary that the Russian furniture manufacturers got to know each other better. The framework of the Euroexpofurniture exhibition will include the collective exposition of Rostov Region (hall 13, booth A1126). The representatives of the Rostov Region Administration and furniture enterprises will share their business ideas with the potential partners. Next year MVK is planning to enlarge the number of regional boots at the show.

Promoting the achievements of the Russian furniture industry MVK is actively interacting with the Association of Furniture and Woodworking Enterprises of Russia. The framework of the exhibition will include the review competition for the best furniture and accessories, Rossiyskaya Mebel (Russian Furniture); eliminatory competition in candidacy of the Russian Cabriole 2008 industrial design award and awarding ceremony for the winners of the contest’ 2007.

“Give Youth a Chance” is the motto of the Kreata International Competition of Young Designers. The list of nominations has been updated this year. Besides the traditional Furniture Design and Interior Design nominations the organizers set up the Interior Items Design and Graphic Design nominations; and the Brand Creation and Promotion nomination. The contesters’ works will be exhibited at hall 13, booth E1341.

The exhibitors of Euroexpofurniture and Interkomplekt will compete for the diplomas of the Soyuzexpertiza Non-Profit Organization proving the high quality and successful promotion of goods.
